Day 1: Cochin Arrival at Kerala
         Arrival at Cochin and transfer to hotel. Sightseeing includes in the
        tour are Chinese fishing nets along the Vasco Da Gama Square, Santa Cruz
        Basilica, St. Francis Church, VOC Gate, Bastion Bungalow etc. Apart from
        these architectural splendors, an array of restaurants serving fresh
        seafood is also popular among tourists. Afternoon out for city tour of
        Cochin. Overnight stay at hotel. 
         
        Day 2: Cochin - Thekkady
         Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for Thekkady by road (150 km - 4 hour from
        Cochin) through tea estates, spice gardens and wild forests. Arrive
        Thekkady after a memorable drive and check in at hotel. Overnight at
        Thekkady. 
         
        Day 3: Thekkady
         Reporting at the boat landing on Lake Periyar after an early breakfast
        to cross over to the starting point of the trek. After about two hours
        of hard walk, you hop on to a country raft (its just bamboo poles bound
        together) paddled by tribal boatmen. Lunch would be packed and served in
        the jungle while a lavish dinner would be served at the hotel. Overnight
        would be at the resort. 
         
        Day 4: Thekkady - Kumarokom
         In the morning proceed by road to Kumarakom (175 km - 5 hour) after
        breakfast. Arrive at Kumarakom, after enjoying the beauty of the
        traditional Keralan houses. Kumarokom offers visitors an enchanting
        backwater destination, many other leisure options. An unbelievably
        beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, emerald green paddy fields and
        coconut groves interspersed with enchanting waterways and canals adorned
        with while lilies - this is Kumarokom. Check in at hotel. Overnight stay
        at Kumarakom. 
         
        Day 5: Kumarokom - Alleppey Houseboat Cruise
         Morning visit to Bird Sanctuary. Later, check into a traditional
        houseboat of Kerala Style and go on a leisurely backwater cruise along
        the lake on a thatched houseboat. Overnight stay at houseboat.
         
        Day 6: Alleppey - Cochin
         Come ashore the boat at Alleppey. Alleppey is known as the rice bowl of
        Kerala. Here you can enjoy the lively villages and backwaters. Transfer
        at leisure to Cochin by road (60 km in - 1 hour) for flight/train to the
        next destination.
