Day 1: Cochin
After arrival, pick up by our representative from airport / railway
station by our and check in to hotel.
Go out for a half-day sightseeing tour at Cochin. After lunch,
sightseeing of Fort Kochi, Bolghatty Palace, Mahadeva Temple, Fine arts.
Over night stay at hotel in Cochin.
Day 2: Cochin - Munnar
Drive to Munnar (by road - 130 km in 4 hour). Sightseeing - places like
Rajamala, Mattuppetty, Echo point, boating in the Lake. Overnight stay
at hotel.
Day 3: Munnar - Anamudi - Munnar
Morning visit to tea plantations, Anamudi, Eravikulam National Park,
Devikulam, Mattupetty, Pallivasal, Pothamedu etc. after breakfast.
Overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 4: Munnar - Periyar (Thekkady)
Morning drive to Periyar (by road - 110 km in 3 hour). Visit to Idukki
dam on the way. Check in at hotel on arrival at Periyar. Elephant, boar,
deer, Indian tiger can be seen at Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. It is also
home for nomadic tribes. Evening - boat cruise at lake and watch wild
animals. Overnight stay at Periyar.
Day 5: Periyar
Boating in Periyar Lake - Wildlife sanctuary in the morning after
breakfast. Explore the rare species of plants and animals. Afternoon
visit to spice plantations - cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, coffee, tea
etc. Shopping arrangements at the local market of fragrant spices on way
back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Periyar.
Day 6: Periyar - Kumarakom
Drive to Kumarakom (by road - 130 km in 4 hours) at early morning.
Arrival and check in to a traditional Houseboat of Kerala Style and go
for a leisurely backwater cruise along the lake on a thatched houseboat.
The houseboat, with all modern comforts, let you discover the
countryside. Have lunch, dinner and breakfast in the houseboat. Cruise
through the backwaters to Alleppy. Overnight stay at houseboat.
Day 7: Allapuzha - Trivandrum
Drive to Trivandrum after lunch, sight seeing - Kuthiramalika, Museum,
Zoo. Overnight stay at Trivandrum.
Day 8: Trivandrum Sightseeing
Padmanba Swamy Temple, Sree Chitra art gallery, Veli tourist village,
proceed to Kovalam beach - sunset, back to hotel. Overnight stay at
hotel.
Day 9: Trivandrum
Drop at after break airport/railway station.
