Day 01: Arrive Chennai
Pick up by our representative from airport or railway station on
arrival. Transfer to hotel. Relax for the day. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: Chennai - Tirupati
Transfer to Tirupati (by road 140 km in 3 hours) after breakfast at
hotel. This is a city of temples and pilgrims. Check in at hotel on
arrival. In the afternoon proceed for Darshan of Lord Balaji. Overnight
stay at Tirupati.
Day 03: Tirupati - Chennai
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Chennai (by road 140 km - 3 hours).
Check in at hotel in Chennai. Relax in the evening. Overnight stay at
Chennai.
Day 04: Chennai - Mahabalipuram
Drive down to Mahabalipuram after breakfast at hotel (by road 58 km - 1
hr). Check in at hotel on arrival. Sightseeing of Mahabalipuram in the
afternoon - famous for the seven pagodas. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05: Mahabalipuram
After breakfast, proceed for morning sight seeing. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06: Mahabalipuram - Tanjore
Leave for Tanjore after breakfast at hotel (by road 309 km - 7 hours).
Reach and relax at hotel. Drive to Tanjore also known as Thanjavur in
the afternoon (the rice bowl of Tamil Nadu). Go out for Tanjore sight
seeing. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 07: Tanjore - Trichy - Tanjore
Full Day excursion of Trichy after breakfast at hotel. Visit the
ancient temples dedicated to Lord Ganapathi, 434 steps cut out into the
rock side and interspersed with shrines, lead to the temple. Return to
hotel and relax. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 08: Tanjore
See the beautiful Chola Temple of Brihadeeshwara after breakfast at
hotel. Relax in the evening. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 09: Tanjore - Madurai
Leave for Madurai (by road 183 km - 4 hours). Visit Karaikudi
(Chettinad) on the way. Transfer to hotel and relax on arrival.
Overnight stay at Madurai.
Day 10: Madurai
Breakfast at hotel. Freshen up and visit the famous Madurai Meenakshi
temple (dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering
Gopurams) in the afternoon. Watch the evening aarti at Meenakshi Temple
- the highlight of the tour. Overnight stay at Madurai.
Day 11: Rameshwaram Excursion
Full day excursion to Rameshwaram after breakfast at hotel, a city of
swell and gentle sand dunes, embellished with the delicacy of casurina
trees and stark palms. Return to Madurai by evening. Overnight stay at
hotel.
Day 12: Madurai - Trivandrum
Leave for Trivandrum (by road covering 264 km - 6 hour) after breakfast
by road and reach late evening. Relax at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 13: Trivandrum
Start tour in the morning visiting the Sree Padmanabha Swami Temple,
Napier Museum, Chitralayam Arts Gallery, Zoological gardens, Reptile
house, Observatory and Kanakakunnu Palace. Overnight stay at Trivandrum.
Day 14: Departure From Trivandrum
Transfer for flight to the airport after breakfast at hotel or station
for train to the next destination.
